Early Childhood Developmental Services
Infant Child Development (ICD) provides Early Childhood Developmental Services for children ages birth to three years old who live in Saline, Ottawa, or Ellsworth counties.
- Once your child is referred to ICD a Family Service Coordinator (FSC) will contact your family to gather information to begin the evaluation process.
- An evaluation includes an assessment of all development domains; social emotional, vision, hearing, gross and fine motor, self-help, feeding, cognitive, speech/language.
- To receive services a child must have at least a 25% delay in one developmental domain or a 20% delay in two developmental domains or an automatic qualifying diagnosis.
- All Early Childhood Developmental Services are FREE.
- Medical card and or insurance are billed with no out-of-pocket expense to your family.
- Families make decisions regarding their child’s services and can withdraw anytime.
- An Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) is developed by creating goals and deciding the type and frequency of services for your child and family.
- Your child’s physician is notified of the outcome of the evaluation.
- ICD will request your doctors’ consent for services.
- Services are provided in your child’s natural environment and can be at home, child care, and various community locations.
Primary Service Provider Model:
Services are provided in a Primary Service Provider Model. This means your family works within a team approach to help address your child’s development from a global perspective.
Your child's Primary Provider incorporates all areas of your child's development into intervention activities and play while monitoring social emotional, communication, cognition and motor skills with support and guidance from other ICD service providers & disciplines.
